CIWEM’s new website is helping students and graduates gain the knowledge and experience they need for a successful career in the environment.

Newly launched www.environmentalcareers.org.uk includes a searchable international jobs-market, an extensive range of sector summaries and job profiles, real life case studies, university information, undergraduate and postgraduate course listings, and links to overseas conservation organisations and potential employers.

From engineering, journalism and conservation to economics, marketing and design, nearly 500,000 people in the UK have a career in the environment. They improve the way we live by influencing politicians, academics, journalists and the general public.

CIWEM President David Rooke MBE, Head of Flood Risk Management for England and Wales, Environment Agency, says:

“CIWEM is proud to lead the way in addressing the need to develop the talent of students and graduates in order to protect our environment. We need to change the way we live and our website is key in encouraging the younger generation to take up the challenge of achieving true sustainability.”
