Interview with Elliot Mitchell

Interview with Elliot Mitchell One of the more unheralded performers is the bass player. Whilst Marcus Miller may be one of the most revered bass players of this generation, one young newcomer, Elliot Mitchell, hopes that his mellow compositions will become familiar to a wider audience rather than those with a trained ear.

That’s So Suite Life of Hannah Montana

Three shows collide in this new triple-whammy Disney DVD. The crossover begins when Raven Baxter – star of That’s So Raven - checks into the Tipton while on a business trip with her designer boss. It isn’t long before Zack and Cody get into the action when the models for Raven's photo shoot take a detour. Then Raven has a spooky premonition about the twins' fate. Meanwhile, Maddie comes up with a plan to get London to wear one of Raven’s new dresses. It almost backfires until London finds out that super rock star Hannah Montana (played by Miley Cyrus) wants a Raven original to wear on her new tour. The DVD is loaded with bonus features including the So You Think You Know Raven Volume 2 DVD game, a Hannah Montana music video and a never-before-seen episode of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

A Minute Before Friday by Jo Kadlecek

Jonna Lightfoot is a religious reporter who is always on the lookout for all things weird and wonderful to do with religion. When she is not covering stories on witches she is angling for stories of conversions to Christ.

The plot of the book revolves around a friend coming to her for help to highlight fraudulent dealings by an impressive Ivy League university. She is then forced to hunt down the truth at the risk of losing her career. This book takes a while to take off and warms up nearer the end. Although a good insight into the life of a religious reporter, it failed to hold my interest throughout. It has some good points in that it was interesting to observe Jonna grow from a nominal Christian into someone who suddenly becomes aware of her weaknesses and failures, leading her to seek a closer relationship with Christ. Her burgeoning relationship with David, interspersed among paganism and witch rallies, lightens the mood of the book. All in all I would give the novel 5/10 but if you’re looking for an investigate type faith based novel then go for it.

Their brilliance quieting all below in awe
The darkness of the firmament in reply
Deepest blue around the heavens.
