Who: Pop Rock newbies After Edmund have been creating a healthy buzz for themselves all through 2007. Named after the character in The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe, the band gained recognition last summer when their catchy choruses and melodic sounds came to the attention of listeners throughout Gospel Music Week. After a slight delay, the band finally makes their official launch into the market with their debut album Hello.

At a glance: After Edmund’s debut is what you would expect from a new band; full of life and exuberance which is portrayed both in their production and vocals. With crowd pleasing songs such as Fight For Your Heart and Tears, Hello’s anthem-like approach will win over fans of uplifting rock anthems and live performances. Whilst similarities between themselves and various Christian rock acts is indubitable, After Edmund’s Euro-pop approach may enable them to create a niche for themselves in a very saturated market. 

Try it if you like: Christian Rock bands who incorporate the live performance atmosphere within their music. Similarities between themselves, Leeland and other bands may lead to early assumptions being made, but regardless, Hello is a pleasant album which will help to establish the group as a household name.
