This is it guys. What is inside that envelope will determine your future, will decide your career path and will change your life. Ok, so maybe that was a bit over the top – but that is how you’re feeling right? Opening exam results does feel like the world is either going to end, or just begin- and you will never know which one until you dare to peek at what is written on that dreaded piece of paper.
{mosgoogle left} Whether you have just finished your As Levels, A levels or your GCSEs, finding out the results from months of hard work and study (or not, as the case may be) can really ruin your summer holidays. Here you will not find all the answers, but you may just learn how to deal with these life changing moments. I am going to lay it down for you how it really is when you open that envelope or check your results online.
When I was in high school, I decided I wanted to study textiles at college level. However the college I had enrolled at decided not to run the course the year I applied meaning I was without a college to go to. On results day I picked up my results with nowhere to go afterwards, in a way I didn’t care what my results were because it felt like they were useless. This is a pretty scary feeling not knowing how your life was going to pan out. But instead of getting into a depression about this, I handed it all over to God. I knew He would direct my path.
One month later I was enrolled at one of the best colleges in the area studying art, English language, English literature and media studies. This ended up being the perfect courses for me and I fully enjoyed my two college years and I now study fashion, media and promotion as a degree which I absolutely love and I couldn’t think of a better course for me. My point here is that whatever path you want to take, whatever career you think you want - God knows best. I tried to do it my own way, but God got in and changed it for the better.
The best way to look at your results, regardless of what it is, is through the eyes of God. You may have scooped all A's just like you wanted, or your results may have come out a little bit dissappointing. Whatever the results say, remember that He has already set out your path, you just need to follow it. For most people college is the option, but some people can follow God's path through other ways, don’t limit God or yourself. Know God's love in your life and you will get to where God wants you to be.
God wants to bless you and not harm you. I pray every blessing on you at this crucial time in your life
