Page 1 of 2 Words: Dan Akinlolu{mosgoogle left} I know you are busy Lord especially that there are many files to look into and many cases to attend to and I haven’t booked any appointment with your secretary but remember you told me that in the midst of your peak-hour-hustle and high profile meetings, if my mind could think a prayer in faith – not even whisper it - if I could just, think…a…prayer, you will stop whatever is engaging you and take a look at me. I know you are so mighty that the heaven is your throne and earth your footstool. This heaven cannot contain you yet small enough to dwell in our hearts. I remember you told me that faith is your language, it makes authority come out of you even when you don’t want to and especially when you are least ready to, remember?
This is my query: can a man be afraid of what he does not know? I do not know tomorrow yet I am afraid, I have been told by friends to live each day at a time, each moment as it comes, they told me the rule to life is to take care of today, the future will always fix itself but I realise that tomorrow doesn’t sometimes fix itself if I don’t plan ahead. God I am sure you know what I am talking about, I mean why will you sacrifice Jesus from the foundation of the world? Isn’t it to insure the world you are yet to create? Did you not secure the fate of humanity through simple obedience? For if Abraham had withheld his only son, Isaac, from the test sacrifice you threw at him would you not have withhold your only son, Jesus, from the ultimate sacrifice that took place almost a thousand years later? Is that acting not a shadow of that which is to come, a reminder to your future assignment? How come I should not think about tomorrow when you are bothered about the future of humanity especially that we are full of temptations? |
